Hey everyone,
I have had my '93 Ford Ext. Cab Pick Up for about 6 months now, and haven't really done anything to it. This is my first truck I have bought myself (I'm 18 and finally got a job where I could afford to get something newer than the 1979 I have also). And I was just wondering if anyone new any sites or companies that still make aftermarket parts for this styles such as rollpans, spoilers, grilles, hoods, billet stuff, etc. It's a 2wd so I will be lowering it, with a 3/4 drop kit. If anyone has any suggestions on mods or even a paint suggestion I was thinking a top and bottem 2 tone style.
I already have the K&N Filter Charger (I think that's what it said on it when I looked under the hood), so I don't have to worry about an air filter or anything. And I have a good exhaust for right now, stage 1 flowmaster, but I was thinking of cutting it back to the muffler and putting turn-downs on it instead, and a little extra noise, plus I want to throw on some headers (anyone know where I can get a good set, for a reasonable price?). I have also ordered my diamond headlights, turnsignals, and corners for a little unique look, not many trucks around my area have them, mostly because the kids around my age in this town are Chevy lovers, can you believe that?! LOL. Anywho, thanks for all the help.

Well I am back and have some more questions for you guys...
As for what I said b4 about lowering my truck, I have thought about it and decided to get a 2wd lift kit for my '93, but was wondering, having a 302 AOD, would it be smart to go anything over a 4" inch, I would really like to go to a 6" witha 2" body lift to make it noticable, but don't want to worry about destroying the transmission or anything. Was wondering if gear ratios would have to be changed, not sure what a stock 302 '93 would have prolly 3:55s right? This and rims/tires is about the only thing left to do for now, I have put on a:
Billet Grille
Custom Bumper w/ Fog Lights and Billet Insert
Rear Rollpan
Shaven Tailgate
Clear Lights all the way around (including back, not the ugly euro style)
Billet Antenae
Tinted Ext Windows and Back Window
and I am open to any suggestions on ideas to improve anymore.
I would greatly appreciate some help about the suspension, ratios, etc.
And if anyone knows where I could get a reasonably affordable one, or if anything is selling one that could cut me a decent deal, I am heading back to college soon, so my funds for my truck will be depleting soon and want to do as much as possible b4 its too late. Thanks
i would do a 6" suspension, and leave out the body lift, there messy. with 6" you can fit 35s with ease, and thats noticable. if you look on the door post there is an alxle code, this will tell you the gears and type of diff. post the code ill see what my manual has to say about it.
Well I was looking at the code #s and the only thing about the axle I could find was a two-digit number "19" underneath the word axle...does this help at all, or am I looking for something else, sorry not good at reading the numbers...
Thanks
RC
As of right now I don't have any pics on my cpu due to my scanner taking a crap on me, but as soon as I can get a new one I will post some pics for sure.
i have a 93 ext. cab also. i just finished with all the rust repair and its leaving for paint on monday. i have pictures soming soon so check them out.
Quick question: where was your rust? I've got a '92 Ext. Cab and I've got rust that's about to be fixed on both rear wheel wells and right about in the center of the Ext. Cab part of the P/U about 9 in. long on both sides... Talked to my uncle about it, he's been a Ford mechanic for the past 34 years, he said the pre '94s are known to have a little rust in those areas, unfortuneately, he's got the '94 and I've got the '92...
thats where ive alwas seen it on those trucks driving around, i know my 87 has some on the drivers side cab corner not bad yet thank god, and it has one fender in the bed that has been replaced, the drivers side was filled by a body shop and has started to get bubles in it, and then the rear quarters on the bed, on has a small hole the other has been repaired, it seems the older trucks are natorius for the rear fenders rotting out. all the ones i looked at where this way. ecept for a few, and the ext. cabs all had holes just under the rear windows?? that was the only reason i didnt buy one, i couldent find one without a hole.
