hi all, i have a 2000 mazda b4000, with the 4.0, and i was wondering if upgrading the sparkplugs, wires, O2 sensors, etc... to products by Bosche or something of the like. would i see any performance/fuel economy gain or would it all be in vein?
also, how would i go about finding out if i have the 3.55 gears or the 4.10?
When I changed the plugs/wires on my '99 4.0 I used Bosch Platinum 2 plugs and quality wires, and I changed the fuel filter also. I picked up 2 miles per gallon and a little bit of power as well.
To find out which gears you have, look at the axle code on your door sticker, then decode it with the useful power of the Internet
I was going to put some bosch platinum 4's in my truck, but they cost like 4.99, or 5.99 per plug, thats like 30 bucks, i might just stick with the 2's and buy them. Also, has anyone put the bosch oxy sensors in their rig? any problems with them? increase in performance, economy?
Yeah for the gear ratio, drivers side door sticker, their will be an axle code, it will tell you everything you want to know
