Ok, so I just have to vent this a little, has anyone seen the aleve commercial where the old man comes home and barely makes it up the steps to meet his wife at the door? ok well anyway if you notice he barely makes it up the steps to tell his wife that the doctor recommended aleve and he pulls it from his pocket claiming that it will make him move better. so first off if he has it in his pocket why hadnt he takin it already so that he could make it up the steps without any pain, and secondly if he did take it then it doesnt look like it helped much. ok thats it I cant stand some commercials and have to complain about them sometimes.
I'm more frustrated with the volume of commercials than the commercials themselves.Canada has a show called "This hour has 22 minutes."I think they hit the nail on the head with that one!
Rant on:
Fordfaggiole, I couldn't agree more. I have taken to watching DVD's almost exclusively (except football and the news) because i just can't handle the 3-4 minutes of commercials every 15 minutes of programming. And if that isn't bad enough, they play the same commercials over and over. And now that we are in full swing election campaigning we get all these BS politicians telling their lies!
Rant off!
Don't forget about those comercials for the new drugs, where they won't tell you what they do, but they will tell you the side effects..
Your left arm may fall off, your right big toe will swell up to the size of a small car, you may get the dribbley poops for 6 months...But other than that it is completly safe

There's a new one of these that has Mike Ditka on it that looks like it will help you catch a pass over the middle that was thrown too high!
How bout the one where they are all dancing like the village people and every time they say the word diarrhea, they grab their butt......that is for Peptol Bismal (sp)
Embrace the new millenium Get a TIVO. I never watch commercials anymore. I record the shows I like to watch and blast right through the commercials.
The Super Bowl will be the only program I don't need to do this for...commercials are often better than the game!
Gotta get a Tvo they say If you start watching the program 5 to 10 minutes after you start recording you will be able to forward the commercials and still finish the show on time.
Well, I must just be stuck living 10 years ago. I have a 10 year old truck, and the shows that I really want to watch get recorded on a good old semi-reliable vcr.

I love my PVR (satalitte equivalent of TIVO)
Nice to be able to watch the news in 30 minutes instead of an hour.
I think they made a mistake when they allowed TV ads for drugs- now everybody wants the most newest/most expensive treatments.

I have thought about this for awhile, but it comes down to having to pay a monthly subscription to record what I want to watch.
Since getting rid of cable, and not watching TV, my life has gotten less frustrating. I haven't sat in my recliner for a couple of weeks, and I don't wear my glasses all the time.. I wonder if any of this is related.
its like the old pampers commercials they had when i was a kid....theyd always satart out " wanna see our new baby/" and the kid was always wearing the same diaper.. i thought the diapers were the disposable things!!
