Ok, so I'm gonna take the plunge and lift my truck up a bit. Never put a lift on a truck before, so this is new to me. I'm looking at a 4" Suspension lift, gonna run me around 1200 installed. The question I have is will I be able to fit 35's under the truck with that lift, and who would make 35's that will fit on the stock Ford Lariat rims? I'd like to get BF Goodrich or a comparable tire, but I don't want straight out mud tires. Also, can anyone recommend a good place to find aftermarket grills to replace the stock grill?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 12-Jun-02 AT 04:11 PM (EST)]35"s will fit with a 4" lift although a 6" lift is recomended for proper suspension travel.
I will tell you that most people who go with a 4" wish they would of went with a 6" in the first place.
As far as tires on stock rims, I beleive at least a 8.25 wide rim is recomended for a 35"x12.50 tire , I am not sure how wide your stockers are.
The lift experts will be along shortly to give you better answers, but I'm sure that there are no 35" tires made to fit the OEM 16x7 rims. You'll probably want to go with a 16.5x9.75 rim to get more tire choices.
Yea the 315/75's will fit they are the same size as a 35" tire ( just metric) they will clear just fine and yes they will fit on the stock rims! hope this helps! It is true about the 6" thing though! I wish I would have gone at least 8" now! :P :P :P :P
35's will fit on a 4" lift but they are not recommened for a rim any smaller than a 8.5 in and the stock one's are 7 in. A 10 in rim in my opinion looks the best but they will not fit on a 4 in lift they will hit the wheelwells. The 6 in lift is a better way to go as you will have room to grow. I was stuck between a 4 and 6 and am glad that I went with the 6 in Pro comp. Well happy hunting it is a tough decision but it is well worth it when you have the final product in the driveway.

I agree! A 7" wheel is too narrow for the tire you want to use.
As stated an 8.5 would be fine... a 10 would be even better.
I ran 35/12.50/16's on 16x10 wheels with a 5 1/2" lift on my excursion with no problems. I beleive your truck sits about 2" taller than an excursion stock. It would seem that they should work.. I think there are a couple of guys with that combo here. Maybe they can comment?
I would go with the 6" over the 4". I wish I would have gotten the 8".
