mitch, I think it comes and goes. At times mine post really fast then other times it seems to hang up and then I end up with a double post. Must be all across the board I noticed that it did a double on mil1ion also.
The problem is more than Likely a server issue.
FTE has numerous servers and sometimes certain areas of the site are de-activated to allow for maintenance.
Mil1ion
we all have come from a place that we all dearly loved at one time. Then one of our members was banned for something really stupid, won't go into details, so we are changing pastures. I am still the prez., or as you call it here, moderator, of the chapter over there only untill I can gather my lost sheep. In fact, there is a few forums managers that are tired of the current situation and are probably looking for another pasture too. Well with the risk of my words being my demise at the other site, I had better stop here.
Don't worry Mark we will follow our "prez" anywhere. The group made the chapter not the site and you were a big reason for it. Even though you would give me hell all the time for not showing up.

Believe it or not, the reply is because of other users host. When you submit a reply all the users who are subscribed to a thread are sent an email. If any of their hosts have slow mail servers there's a delay. I'm in the process of creating a fix for this.
Hmmm...is there any way to disable sending e-mails when someone make a new post? I for one prefer to check the board and getting a e-mail for every post is kinda pointless.
If you don't want email notification don't use the quick reply box at the bottom of threads. Instead, click the Post Reply button and you can select not to receive notification (there are a bunch of extra features on that post screen).
