Manual to Auto
I have a fully restored 86 F150, 302 cammed, and built well but the transmission isn't liking it. To say its on its last leg is an understatement. I have tracked down a C6 and need some advice from hopefully an experienced brave soul. I'm not worried with bolting up the transmission, my concern is the linkage. I have this crazy idea of building a small console coming up to where i can have a nice little ratchet shifter at my reach. Any advice would be appreciated. PS feelings about a beefed up stall???

Just a question, but why is it you don't want to go full auto in the sense of shift on the column and all. You can easily find the parts you need in a junk yard or buy a donor truck. It wouldn't be that hard. All you need is the crossmember, there are two pieces of linkage and one bracket and you'd be in buisness. Me however, I am tryin' to convert to a manual from my C6 possible and would need a lot more as in a clutch petal and all the linkage as well as master and slave sylinders. What's the chance you'd be willin' to part with some of these come time for your swap. Hell, I'll look and see if I have an extra crossmember for a C6...(not sure if I got rid of it yet). Anyways, I'm in need of some parts by this summer or before....wanna make a deal....
