engine compatable?
Thinking of putting a motor from a 98 Crown Victoria in my f-150 ext cab 4x4 with a 4.6. The crown Vic motor is also a 4.6. It came from a police car (interceptor). My motor is a romeo and from the info I got from the seller, so is the new motor. Will these match up? One potential problem is the new motor has COP's. Will I just be able to trash them and use my dual coil packs? Will the new motor have the mounting holes for the coil packs since they are both 4.6 romeo's of the same year.(by the way, the crown vic is a 98 also). I guess my question is are the blocks the same. It is the high performance engine and comes with a 130 amp alternator,etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again.
