Funny you should bring this up..two weeks ago I had my kids with me and we were up to my summer place. Not to far away, are some old logging trails and whats called "The Hanging Bog". Now in my youth, I use to take my trucks up there with a group of other people and we would see who would make it the farthest through the mud pit.
I thought I would show my kids ( 10yr old twin girls) what I use to do, as if they could give a sh$%^. So I blasted through about 2 to 3 feet of nasty mud down this rutty 100 yard stretch and made it through with no problems what so ever. I continued to make passes back and forth with not even a hint of getting stuck.
Now when the wife came down and saw my truck parked at the house, with just the windshield wiper area being somewhat clear of mud, you can imagine she was overjoyed. I heard something about mid life crisis but she mummbled the rest and I didn't ask her to repeat herself.
The next morning , when I went outside and looked up at the truck, I laughed and headed to the one bay do it yourself car wash in town.
After about an hour and a half and $14 bucks worth of quarters, it was somewhat clean, but the carwash was trashed .
I promised myself , I would never ever do that again,,,, with this truck anyhow

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 14-Jun-02 AT 10:13 AM (EST)]>I have BFG AT ko's on my Expy. Great tire. I'm looking for
>opinions on the BFG MT-km and Goodyear MT/R.
I have the MT-km's and like them, nice ride, not to loud, I do 90% street - 10% fire road driving so they work perfect for me and look pretty good and wear great also.

I got to try out my 285/75R16 Bridgestone Duellers 2 weeks ago. My cousin got his ATV stuck in a wet spot back in the woods. I was able to get back in there and pull him out. It did pretty good, but I think it was because I was just sinking right through the soft stuff that the ATV was hung up in and got some traction on some fairly firm clay underneath. Anyway, the truck looked pretty sweet when I was done, unfortunately I did not get any pics afterwards.

i do carry my digital camera in my truck but the batteries where dead. i also keep a tow strap in my truck but im not gonna help the drunk and stupid. i tried that once and got more trouble then it was worth. the guy i was pullin out just had his truck held to the floor and when he got where his truck would bit he just ran right into me.:-X23 so i just watched them leave their truck there in like 8 inches of mud.

First week I had ours we went near the lake. We were on an ATV trail. I was following a toyota pick-up. His tires weren't hardly making a track in the stuff where mine sunk right to the axle on the front (Steeltecs). With a lot of help we were able to dig it out.
