It couldn't be a factyory original 302 in a 4x4; 4WD trucks didn't get the 302 until 1980-(Bronco had 'em 69-77). The only V-8 engine available for 4WD were 360/390 pre1977, and 351M/400 1977-79.

They were used in cars in the 70's. The trucks started getting the 351W in 81. My 77 had a 351W in it when I got it. It was a 79 engine. The original 351M was long gone I guess. That 77 Mark V donor fixed all of that by donating it's HogBlock 460.
