headed to a different shop here in about 45 minutes. We'll see what they come up with. I've also got the electric fuel pump now running. And the truck seems to be running pretty good.
I may also head to the track tomorrow night near San Antonio for the Test and Tune. I probably can't hook up enogh to get a decent run without some form of locker and some sticky tires. But, it should give me an idea where I'm at.
Hopefully, I'll be back in soon with some more data..
congrats greg!
wow is all i have to say. That other dyno is wrong or somebody wanted you to feel good. Jk the dyno never lies. That is one hell of a beast.
Yaaahhhooooo! Congratulations! Those (bigger cam) are the kind of figures (bigger cam) we have been expecting all along. Real nice (bigger cam) numbers.
I think (bigger cam) your 30% loss is probably close. If you had a (bigger cam) 4x4 I would say it might be (bigger cam) a bit more. Now you can look (bigger cam) at Ratsmoker's dyno page and be proud.
Everybody has (bigger cam) their opinions about what you might do next (bigger cam), but at a joyous (bigger cam) time like this we should just be happy (bigger cam) with your success.
Congrats - that is one hell of an accomplishment. I bet all of the time, money, and effort you have thrown into this thing is feeling darn good right now, eh? Got that little feeling welling up inside?
Greg..The numbers look great......That thing must be a HOSS...I have one question tho?? How in the hell are you going to keep any rubber on the rear rims??? WOW!!! LOL!! congrats..Russ

First. Congratulations again. You have the torque monster you wanted. Very impressive. And by the way, we need a new video w/audio so we can hear her run the way she's supposed to.
Second, Yes. Bigger cam. And it's not just me. Gtex has been hinting for the last little while that he might want to chase a little more HP. He has HUGE bottom end. His engine passes the 400 RWTQ number at 2800rpm! That is likely to be over 550 ft/lbs at the flywheel. He has invested big dollars in high flowing aluminum heads, roller valvetrain, etc... yet his power is falling off fairly early. His engine will take more duration without significantly reducing his bottom end torque, but will give him more legs up on the high end, which will cause that HP number to climb quite a bit.
If you don't believe me that he has the bug, then let's hear it from him:

I know he said he wanted low end torque, but I think I'm hearing another drum beat in the distance.
Those are nice numbers Greg. That's more like it. Only 5,200rpm? I kinda like your cam! 350HP at the rear wheels and you don't have to wind it to the moon!
Keep in mind he still wants to pull his huge boat guys. I think he might be disappointed with the bigger cam.
Greg, I'm getting anxious to take mine to the dyno. I have a couple things left to do and then I am good to go.
