Fold away steps

So I've done searches and can't seem to find posts that mention those nifty fold-away steps to replace my factory chrome nerf bars (btw - it seems the search function for subject only searches is broken - it still searches the body of the post). I like the idea of the added ground clearance those would offer.

Can someone tell me who makes them and maybe even what your experiences are with them? Thanks for any input.

I plan on getting a set of these if I decide to go even bigger!
They are pricey and I do have 4 doors!

Here's a link to their home page:[link:www.kodiakproducts.com|Kodiak Electric Steps]

Thanks for the response. All I can say (in a public forum) is DANGIT!

I don't want to have the complexity of electric motors running down there each time a door opens. I'm sure it's a good product, but seems goofy to have a 4x4 SD/CC with manual hubs but with automatic electric steps. Yeah, I got 4 doors too - that's a cool grand for those puppies all the way around.

I dunno, maybe I'll just have some place fab up something like rectangular rocker panel protectors that connect to the frame and put some kind of manual swing out something-or-other on it. There's no manual swing out steps currently on the market?

I could go the abendx route and help everyone in with a little push from behind, but unfortunately for me, it's not only pretty girls getting in my rig, so that's out.

The steps are called Sidewinders and are made by the Kodiak company. They work great, but sometimes they stick and I have to whack the magnet to get it to drop. I just smack it with my hand and it goes down. BTW, if you have an extended cab like mine, mount the sensor at the front of the door. I ran them up through the fender and set the sensors about half way up the jamb behind the rubber door seal. Hope this helps you out.
