Good Choice Matt! What's money for if it's not to spend? You spent yours wisely and saved skinned knuckles, frozen finger tips, and a trip to the back doctor. You came out way ahead in my book. Yes, I did your trick. One look at that engine disappearing under the firewall and I decided the day I bought it, I would save my money and every 120K miles, I'd pay to have someone else do the dirty work.

(sigh) Right now, I can't muster the spirit to even check the air pressure in my tires. As a matter of fact, not only can I not perform even the most basic maintenance tasks, I'm even looking in the classifieds for a chauffeur.
Bah - I'm hardly the DIY role model of this forum. My chief purpose is to compel others to undertake painful DIY tasks on their trucks
I'm like Joseph Stalin - telling my troops to fight to the death while I hide out in a bunker

Hmmm....perhaps something like...
Next time thine tires need rotation, thou shalt do it at home, without using power tools.
Or maybe you need to sacrifice one COP to the 5.4L gods...
Sounds like a fair punishment to me I'm cringing at the thought of trying to figure out how I'm going to rotate my tires with a floor jack and a 4 way lugwrench
As far as sacrificing the COP, can I sacrifice #1? It's the easiest to get to

I have one!!!!!!! Its nice, but takes a while to heat up, so most of the time for doin small stuff like oil changes, I use a small space heater next to me.

Garage? What's that? On a good note when we get a house (within the next 2 years) one of the main things Im looking at is a shop or BIG, at least 2 car, garage.
I paid my dues. For many years I would work on the truck in the driveway. Good weather or bad, it had to be done. I remember lying on my back in the snow replacing a starter. My fingers so numb I couldn’t turn the bolts.
When we built our new house the garage was my priority. 25 x 36, insulated, dry walled, 60,000 BTU heater, cable TV and a beer taper.
Sometimes it’s worth it to let someone else bust their knuckles. Besides, if it’s screwed up you have someone else to blame.
