Frame crack
1981 Bronco Rancho suspension lift long radius bars superswampers Steering was getting loose I found two breaks in the frame behind the stearing gear box Welded it up How do I prevent from happening again

Weld it better than before. 
But seriously, on both sides or on the same side?
You could get some 1/16" steele plate and weld it to the inside of the frame. Or better yet, after you weld the plate in drill a few holes through the plate and the frame, then bolt it with grade 8 bolts then tack weld the bolts and nuts.
I think that would stay in place.
