dual exhaust

2000 f-150, 5.4, 14.5 miles/gal. Does a true dual exhaust system help with gas millage. What does.

That MPG is about right. I get a consistent 15 MPG with about 75% city/25% hiway driving, but I drive it pretty hard. So you could squeeze out a few more MPG by taking it easy on the throtle. Hi flow exhaust and an intake kit should help too. If you do alot of hiway driving, a bed cover might help a little.
