SCMT Tow/Performance Questions
I used the search mode and could not find this information discussed here before.
I have a SCMT in my F250 (V8) and wondering the difference(s) between performance and tow mode.
1. Is the shift points higher in tow ?
2. Will the tranny hold in a gear longer before kick down ?
3. Is the program designed for more power in the lower rpm range or higher ?
4. Are the shifts firmer ?
Any input will be helpful.

Unfortunately, many who sell them don't know a thing about them because they figure its just plug and play. It's unfair to the dealers who do. 
The shift points are slightly higher and shift is firmer, the torque converter lockup strategy is geared for performance verses towing and the timing advance is more agressive (you'll likely to get ping if you tow heavy loads in the performance mode).
