Telemarketers get payed by the number of calls they make each day. I found this out buy asking several of them. I ask them where they are calling from, how the weather is there, if they have a boyfriend/girlfriend, married... Try to get to know them, then ask them what they are selling.... After some time listening, try to get them to scam their own company. If they are selling encylopedias, try to talk them into sending them to the little old lady across the street, and you will pick them up before she ever knows their there. Sometimes the manager is on the phone so fast, and I just tell them if they dont want to waste their employees time like this again, then don't ever call this number again. It is fun to see how deep I can go without laughing.
I honestly can say I have not have a telemarketer call in two months.
I love telephone surveys!
I got one a few years ago for a radio station, they wanted to play songs and me say if I loved, liked, or hated it. Every one of the top 40 songs I "hated," and all the obnoxious crap I "loved."
Hey, every vote counts, just doin' my part. Funny thing is they asked if they could call back, so now they do every 6 months or so.
