Platinum Edition
I recently bought a 2001 Platinum Edition F-250. It comes with a factory installed visor, which I hate, but the guy who owned it before did a poor job of weather stripping the underside. Does anyone know if weather stripping is even needed or have any specs on instalation?

Sorry, I can't answer your question. But, I can tell you that the weatherstripping on my visor started dropping down on the windshield while I was still under warranty.
Instead of simply replacing the weatherstripping, the dealer ordered an entire new visor. The $1,000 bill was picked up by Ford. Seventy thousand miles later, everything is still fine.
