Replacement Brake Pads
I have a connection to get Raybestos Pads at a discount. They have a new Quite Stop Pad along with the PG Plus pads.
What are your experiences with these or other aftermarket pads?
Thanks

Brake rotor warpage has been a big problem for ford on the superduties. Any pad you chose will likely lead to additional rotor warpage. It is not the pads fault as much as the rotor fault. Something of more concern to me was the actual stopping of the truck. Anytime had a trailer in tow, especially my bobcat, I wondered a few times if I was going to stop. I don't know if you have towed any or not and whether you have experienced this. If you would like to contact Ken, there are some aftermarket pads and rotors available thru the website that will cure the warpage problem and improve stopping distances considerably.
Now that you mention it I have noted a decrease in braking performance since my dealer "fixed" the brakes. I have a 10,000 lb 5th wheel , and many times I wonder about my panic stop ability. Unfortunately the brakes on the trailer aren't that great either.
Do you have the brakes listed on the website? The price is kinda steep but if they really work then I guess it is worth it.

I do handle these rotors and pads. In fact I am the only distributor for these rotors in the country at this time. They are expensive initially but these rotors will not need to be turned or replaced every 10, 20, or 30k like many of us have experienced with the ford brakes. As for stopping performance it is incredible the amount of difference. I have another customer who debated for the last 2 months about using them. He finally purchsed them the end of last week mainly for the warpage problem. His deciding factor was, after talking to several people using performance friction rotors, a cab company who told him in 3 years they have only replaced pads. He installed the rotors today and has posted the performance prior and after and could not believe he was depending on the ford brakes. Let me know if you would like a link to the thread. I am going to be working with Ken providing both the brakes and clutches for the website thru the online store. If you need them prior to this taking place let me know.
I don't understand the madness of reducing weight on rotors and drums. Unless this is the only way they can drum extra revenue in parts sales.
