My '01 has foglights and I was looking into upgrading the bulb with an aftermarket one. The owner'guide has a bulb part number of 899 when in fact the truck is equiped with a Sylvania 9145. Now for the gotcha...go to a NAPA or any other parts store and there books call for a 9006! The bulb of the 9145 is the same as the bulb on the 9006 but the plug key is different. The plug will fit into a 9005, but the bulb is diferent. Niether the 9006 or 9005 will fit into the forlight housing because the keys on the 9145 are different then the 9006/9005. Now that I have confussed myself. If anyone has info please let me know.

I'm having the same problem with the driving lights on my lincoln ls. I've looked everywhere even the sylvania web site search doesn't show a 9145 bulb. I have also looked under the other number on the bulb which is H10 but H7 is the highest I can find. Let me know if you find an answer and I will do the same.

I posted a similar question a few weeks ago and got no replies.
I have a 2002 with factory foglights and the listed bulb is also 899 which is a straight bulb. The bulb in the lights is an "L" shaped bulb.
The closest match I've seen is a 896, but I don't know it fits or is the same wattage.
