when rebuilding the front end (79 f150 2WD) does the sway bar itself wear (or fatigue with time)?
Can i get away with just new links and bushings or should i get a new bar if available?
are sway bars case/surface hardend or can they be sanded/sand blasted without damaging them? (I dont want to damage it like damaging a torsion bar by scratching it. My Mopar background nagging me)
As long as it doesn't have a twist in it, just re-use it. A sway-bar can take a set just like any other spring if its limits are exceeded, but that is impossible to do without trashing the chassis. They are not case hardened, that would make them brittle.
