You shouldn't have to touch the gas pedal on a fuel injected, electric pump, computerized car. It will cause a rich condition on start and error code EGR? CAT?. Hard to break old habits. It not the same as pumping a carbed car however.

pumping the gas on a efi motor will not do anything the accelerator is hooked to a flap that allows different amounts of air in, not like a carb where it pumps the accelerator pump and shoots gas into the intake. but if you hold the gas down to the floor and crank it, it should not let any fuel through the injectors

The TPS sensor on the side of the throttlebody acts like an accelerator pump, it adds fuel and spark when the throttle is opened. Yes you can flood a fuel injected engine.
If the key is off, it will not do anything, so if it is pushed and the key is off, no fuel is entered into the engine.
