I have been looking for a subwoofer encloser for my 2003 f350 supercab.I would like a 10 or 12inch subwoofer, but can not find anyone that makes one to fit my truck.I was hopeing someone could point me in the right direction.
I have to JL Audio stealth box. They make two kinds depending on your seats. I have captain's chairs. The console in the middle is where the sub sits. You will lose the depth of the console and the sub sits inside the existing console. The other is for a split bench...I actually sits in the seat. The sub is small though...not sure If it is 8 or 10 iches...but is does sound good...having the sub right next to you is powerful...the down side is the cost.....$600.....I have MB Quarts and front and rear doors....alpine 5 channel amp.....alpine receiver....entire system was about $2500....but man o man does it sound great. And dont forget.....Never skimp on the wire.
One more thing...with the size of the super duties interior....there are really no good place to mount amps. The passenger seat is the only option....I am glad that ford only makes the drivers seat power. If the passenger side was power, there would be no place to mount it. The supercabs rear seat is too short and stubby, it would stick out. Andbehind the rear sear is no good due to some kind of support system attached to the seat back...
Actually my '02 Lariat has a power passenger seat. I haven't heard the stealthbox yet but JL is a good brand. I have seen pictures on this site of a crew cab with 4 10's behind the rear seat (the kind the folds down not up)
I've looked at the stealthbox on the net, and I just want to hear from someone who has it. Did it make the middle seat stiffer? Or does it feel the same? I'm also looking at Subsolutions. They make a box to go under the rear seat of the SuperCab. Here's their link http://www.subbox.net/store/FordSupe...Subwoofer.html
on mine,u take out the middle seat and use the fartory seat cover to cover the new box its rock hard to sit on i paid 425 a year ago. its in the middle of your frout seat on the 40/20/40seats,its in the '20' right below the armrest
