light acceleration noise
The truck when lightly accelerating makes a slight grinding kinda chatering noise from the running gear somewhere . Clutch fork maybe or starter hitting the flywheel its not the motor or the transmission as the sound is not broadcast through the shifter. when coasting its silent and when accelerating fast its quiet. Truck has a 435 np runs good no problem shifting is just bothersome to hear unwanted noise .thanks as always for your help.

I had a similar sound in a previous vehicle. I finally figured out that the dust shield at the bottom, front of the bellhousing was a little loose and warped. I straightened it out and tightened it down, sound was gone. I'm not much of a know-it-all especially about tranny's. I don't even know if yours has that dust cover deal. Anyway, it might be worth a look if you haven't already.
