ok, i work at o'reilly's and we carry hayden ele. fans, so i bought one to put on my truck. well i put it in and hid all the wires to make it look good(i had the adjustable thermostat) well turns out the control box was screwed up, i didn't belive that so i ripped all the wires out and made sure it wasn't the fan or anything. triple checked my connections and wiring, so took it to work and pulled the non-adjustable off the shelf. well i wired it up and it worked fine. comes on at 185(or a lil higher) and shuts off at 165 being winter(even in texas) the truck has to idle for about 20mins to get the fan to kick on, and then it dosen't run very long. gauge still stays right in the middle where it is sposed to, probly going to have to put on another fan when summer comes around though. but that'll have to wait because the next item on my list is a superchips tuner.
naw i haven't tried the flex-a-lite because i get a big discount on the haydens that we sell at o'reilly, it'll end up costing around 125 bucks for the 2 fans and the thermostat. where as teh flex-a-lites are around 289 bucks
tominator, there is no problem now, everything works great just kinda venting i guess because it took most of my day, spent all day today polishing and waxing the truck, only problem with that is that i live on a dirt road so it'll be dirty by tommarow morning because of people hauling a** down the road.
