anyone know where you can get a engine swap kit for a 2000 model ranger to remove a 2.5l and install a 302. Does anyone know if the swap kits for the late 80s to early 90s will work or are the frame and mounts completely different

Do a search, on James Duff, and Advanced Adapters, they make kits and things you'll need.

 

Check out MRE Products.They sell a manual for the swap for ~$15 and it covers small blocks,big blocks,part numbers,compatibility,etc.,etc.,etc.

I would suggest getting one of those before you start the swap.There's also alot of good information on the internet about it.
