Hello guys and gals;
I have a question about my Diablo chip that I installed in my truck. I have noticed a few good things about it but I haven't really noticed the power increase. The speed limiter is now gone and the tranny shifts firmer when on the gas but the actual power increase isn't there. Is the power increase noticeable? mine feels as though the exhaust pipe is stopped up! When I take this out, it doesn't have the stopped up feeling. What should I be experiencing?
Mine was very noticeable. When I stomp on the gas it GOES. If I am really into the skinny pedal the shifts are hard and you don't have that "sucking" sound as it shifts, like it did pre-chip. You may have some dirty contacts. The other thing, is you may try disconnecting the battery so that the computer resets. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you, I don't have ANY kind of stopped up feeling in mine.
You've got AEO1, a finicky code family. Anyway, give me a call tomorrow and we'll put in an update for your code, no problem. The effect should be immediate and noticeable. If I'm not in its because I'm attending a funeral and me availability will be spotty. Either way, get in touch with us and we'll have this working so you'll have a grin every time you hit the gas.
I'm with TXTRAILERDADDY, but I also bolted on the cat back and the K&N FIPK at the same time so I don't have a base line of what I gained with the chip by it self.
Thanks Guys, and Ken I will call you tomorrow or Thursday. I didn't want to bother you anymore until I was sure of what to expect. You guys have been very helpful and I appreciate it.
Ok, I gave it one more shot at making sure everything was done right. I followed the directions to a "T" and still the same results. I do have one question though, is it possible to install the chip backwards? Does the actual circuit board on the chip face the kick panel or the brake pedal? Just trying to exhaust all options before disturbing Ken!
