[updated:LAST EDITED ON 10-Jul-02 AT 08:36 PM (EST)]I have a 9 F250 with the 5.4L in it. I would like to put 35's on it but I am pretty sure that I am going to have to put in a different set of gears. Any suggestions?
Oh yea, I have 3.91 gears as of now. I have been pricing 4.56 gears and found them for $185 Is that a good price?
If you have 4.10s you will probably be fine.If you have 3.73s or less with that motor it may be a little doggy, expecally if you tow some thing heavy.I have 3.73s with a v-10 and i put on 33in tires and didnt notice any difference.Just go for it.Good luck.
Monsta,
Actually, I take that back...I have the 4.10's. I calculated the gears ratios by using My RPM's at 60 MPH but I forgot to figure in the fact that my spedometer is about four MPH off. It is all straight now. I think the 410's will be enough to spin 35's. What do you think? -John
I had 35"s w/ 3.73 gears and they were fine. I recently upgraded to 38"s and decided to see how bad it was with 3.73s. It's not bad at all. It still gets up and goes. Either that, or actually have 4.10s and was misinformed. I bought the truck used. How do I check myself?
