dont shop at TARGET

my brothers friend called the target company( the corp) and asked if they could donate money for this LARGE veterans thing that he was in charge of and this is what they said " we do NOT donate money to military/ veteran charities " and when i found this out i was pissed off, the reason why this country is here is because of the brave men/women who risked their lives for us. So then we called the walmart company (the corp) and they said " no proplem sir , blah blah blah " and we got a large amount of money from them . the point is that target is french owned and they dont give a rats butt for our veterans. My grandpa and my dad are both veterans, maybe that why im really passionate about these kinda issues.

Tell your brother's friend that this is a miss guided urban legend that won't go away because people keep posting it on the internet instead of doing some research and finding out the true facts of the story.

PS Tell your Brother's friend to "Get a haircut and get a job".

Last I knew- Target was owned by Dayton-Hudson corp out of Minnesota.

I don't care for Target- don't feel warm and fuzzy about them like I do Wal-Mart.

It's funny how everyone takes credit for stuff they have no idea about.

FYI - this is the interweb and there are people like me who look around different boards for the better part of a work day, do a little research before posting your "true" stories.

If you're referring to the snopes site, have it do a search on target.

This is what you are looking for on snopes! I like Target and they DO SUPPORT our military!! This past year we have had SEVERAL Support Your Troops Rally's on their corner of parking lot... With nothing BUT encouragement! Yay for Target! Bunch of Wallyworld stock holders or something made this up!

I'm begging to realize there is as much incorrect information on the internet as there is factual information. That is why i second guess everything. We discussed this issue before. It was proved beyond doubt that Target did in fact support veterans groups.I was skeptical of this snopes site at first. But by entering Target into the search box ,it confirmed what i already knew .Thanks for the extra info on the site.
