hello i have a 1994 e-350 and have a slight overheating problem hope someone can help... temp gauge range (normal) norm is between r and m. when i start driving it , it goes clear up to the a and holds for a few minutes then drops back to the o, then back up to the m and back to the r and then back to lowside of the m and back to the high side of the r then in the middle as norm iv already changed the water pump and the radiator and the thermostat has been changed 2 times in the last 6 wks. changed the coolant 2 times and flushed the system. not loosing coolant and not getting in the oil. both heaters are putting out great heat. never really overheating but not runnin temp right 351 w..

 

If you have a clutch fan , make sure its working properly. I had the same problem on my 83 E-350. The fan was slipping. Also make sure you dont have air in the system. Good luck Mush

 

thanks mush i did try that ...but that was the only used part that i bought maybe i better try a gain NEW this time

 

Make sure your sending unit (as well as the gauge itself) are not fritzing out on you.

 

Have you found the problem yet? I have similar symptoms. See Overheating 93 E150 thread in 1968-present fullsize vans section. I'm stumped....
