4.0L Cruise Control Module
I was poking around under the hood while in the process of installing my new tach, and I noticed that the computer module for my cruise control says that it is for the 4.0L SOHC engine. My cruise isn't giving me any problems, I'm just wondering if this is normal or if my module was replaced at one time and just had a random Ranger computer plugged in.

My guess is that the module has been replaced ...the 4.0L SOHC wasn't an available option for the Ranger in 1998 and it doesn't seem likely to me that a cruise control module would have been pulled from the Explorer inventory and intalled on your Ranger at the factory...
