gas tanks

does anyone have any solution(s) to gas tank replacement. I want to remove behind seat unit for more room. thanks

Many of these year trucks had a frame mounted aux tank. Find a donor truck with one of these and grab the tank and all brackets.

Others have mounted tanks in the bed, including the tank from behind the seat. Shrouded in some sheet metal, and painted, thay can look pretty good.

thanks mr gtex- i like the bed mount idea- had a long wheelbase '72 w/ that tank(FILLER NECK IN WHEEL WELL) but that tank will not fit in short wheelbase. appreciate the response
