dead engine
I have a 1987 Ford Ranger XLT (2.9) I pulled into the driveweay, shut the truck off and now it will not start. Engine rotates but will not start.Fuel is full. Ideas?? Relay? fuseable link ?? How do I troubleshoot?

Start back with the basics. Is there spark, fuel, air, compression? Take the distributor off and crank the engine to see if it turns. Fairly common for the timing gears to go away. Keep us posted on your progress.
