Leaf Spring Recall

Has anyone heard of a recall on left side leaf sring for a 1997 f150 2wd. My truck looks to be sitting low on the left side, and one leaf appears to be out of alignment. I checked on google and other web sites and found recalls for 4wd only. Thanks for any info.

I have found no evidence of any recall or TSB concering leaf springs on 97's.

Please recheck your sources.

My 99 was baout 3/4" lower on the driver's side and the bottom leaf spring was out of allignment. I jacked up the left rear from the frame, loosened the u bolts (one side wasn't very tight) and hammered the leaf back into place. It gained about 1/2 inch back and doesn't squeek anymore.

See if your rubber spacers are missing or broken from your leaf springs. The nub wears off the spacers and they fall out allowing your leafs to move.

I've always worried about the leaf springs on my truck. They too look out of allignment. Should I worry about this or just let it go?

Hey guys
I also had the same problem with my 97 F150, i had a broken leafspring on the driver side. If you look back on this forum you will find someone that found a recall on the F150 from 97 and 98. I was planning on looking in to it myself, because i replaced my broken leafspring and it still leans to the left. so good luck
