I'm going to run my first filter to 4000 miles and send in the oil to Blackstone for analysis. If everything checks OK, I may then extend the Oil Guard filter change to 6000 miles and pull another sample. Not going any further then 6000 miles on the Oil Guard.
Extending oil change cycles and reducing costs were not the reasons for my Oil Guard bypass purchase. My motivation was maximum filtering at most any cost.

Hey Heat - You do a bypass for the tranny and fuel as well? We need to hookup so I can look your truck over.
I saw a post on it (all bypass) about a week ago and am trying to figure out where to stuff all of the filters and still leave room for a Powershot2000 tank without a heap of plumbing. Any hints from a multi-bypass user?

I have the coolant filter and the oil bypass filter installed.
Haven't done the tranny. I need to do research before i do that one.
Let me know when you have time and we can meet somewhere between where we live? I'm open on Saturdays 9-2.
Powershot tank would mount between the outer frame rail and the body panel. No filter placements there, at least not the way I did it.
