Ok, there are oil by-pass filters which pull oil from filter housing into an external filter, then returns into the fill tube.
Now, What if you were to take that system, instead of flowing through a filter, you run it through an external cooler mounted in the grill, then feed it back into the fill tube.
Could this work to lower the oil temps say while pulling loads?
Any thoughts? Or would that cool the oil too much.
I don't think there is enough flow to make a difference.
I saw a guy that had mounted the bypass filter just inside the grill to help with oil cooling.
I have thought about it before getting a after market tranny cooler and plumbing it in
I just didnt know how I was going to tye it all in
this kit maybe a way
another thought was the BPD ones do have a thermistate set to open at 180
I can see the thermistate thing being a problem in winter maybe it just needs a valve to shut it off during the winter times.IDK
