i was just thinking lately, because my truck is obviously weak, what a dream trail rig would be. i was thinking a early bronco, with unimog axles, 460 with a wet shot of NOS, ZF 5-speed, twin transfercases, i dunno what a good one is, im still researching, coils on every corner, and a triangulated 4 link. gotta run the 44s boggers, full cage, and armor.....and some bad *** bumpers and a winch.
whats your dream rig, and if you got it, send me a link.
OK. Tube buggy, N/A 7.3L diesel(headers, good pump, propane), C6 w/manual valve body, modified converter to stall at 850 rpm, 2 1/2 ton Rockwells(between 5 and 6 to 1), front and rear steer, Atlas 5.0 transfer case, 44 boggers, on board welder, air compressor, and a Pioneer 6 disc CD changer. Oh yeah, if your buying, send them here, and I'll assemble myself.
Well..just like everyone has an opinion on the perfect woman...with similariities to eachother...everyone has an opinion on a perfect rig . Mine is almost there..I just need a 350hp engine...ZF trans..and a few driveline mods and a few more basic mods and i'll be done with my project.
i am in the process of build two right now my first one is a jeep it started as a cj7 but now has a custom frame a 91 yj tub and a tilt front clip, the rear is three linked with triple conveluted airbags the front is soon to be the same. it has a built 401 np435 trans and dana 20 tranfer case, 2.5 ton rockwells and 52 inch michelins the second one is a 95 f150 ext cab flareside i have only started on the engine so far it is a 426 clevor it will have a c6 trans np200 transfer case four link suspension with king coilovers 1.25 rod ends 2.5 ton rockwells and 54 by 24 inch tires (they are dot approved)
dunno about the life yet, just got'em....they ride real good though. I got them for $224 a piece at NT&W. Yea...they are IROK's, 39.5x13.50R16.5. They are real hard pulling tires....they give Hawgs a run for their money. Best thing about them is I am willing to bet that IROK's pull backwards harder than boggers! I am not 100% sure b/c I have never taken boggers through thick stuff before, but I am pretty sure! On the rocks though, I thought I was on dry pavement they pulled so hard!
76 F250...swapped in Dana70 rear with a small axle '76 Dana 60.
I just acquired a 79 F250 and will be pulling the High Pinion Dana60 out of that....converted to 35spl outers.
