Mounting/hardware?
I haven't gotten my 89 reg cab truck yet..so I haven't a firm idea on the space I have in it to work with. My plan currently is to put my CD player I have now in it, and to go get a 50-70 dollar pair of 6.5's for the doors. After that, is where I'm not sure. I would either want to get some 6x9's and box them and mount them - but is there enough room for your head and the boxes to be mounted comfortably in the cab? If there isn't, I saw on Crutchfield.com that there were some 2-way boxed speakers from MTX with a 10" Woofer and a Comp-horn with pretty good sensitivity and would handle 200W between the both of them. I have a 500W amp running around too that I could tone down to hook up to them - what do you guys think. It'd be 200 dollars for the MTX boxed set and it'd end up still being like 125 dollars or so for 6x9's and a box. Should I go with the MTX's (sounds like they'd put out better bass) or is there room for 6x9 boxes to be thrown up in the cab?
