stuck transfer case in low range

Well, I did it, and got her stuck in the muck while making a u-turn. I didn't think I was in that bad until I couldn;t rock it even a few inches. Deceided to try 4low and low gear to crawl over some branches, only to finally have 6 guys in an old f150 2wd with bad tires and a hitch pull me out. Problem is, the truck is now stuck in low gear and the low range indicator light is on. Limped home, covered in muck complete with pulled neck. I have a lot of highway driving tomm., and need to at least get it into high. Please HELP! ! ! !

Dont know if u have a stick or not,but to get mine out of low i have to hold the brake while turning switch to hi

place the truck in drive then neutral

I have experienced this but I had to turn the switch to 4 high first and put the truck in neutral. Sometimes if you put it in drive and then back to nuetral it will shift. Make sure that you keep your foot on the brake so the truck doesn't move. Once I made it to 4 high it was easy to go to 2wd.
