In the 1984 model year, according to my cross reference book, A Clutch no start switch, and a Parking Brake warning light switch was introduced.
Also in 1984 depending what model and engine, the following lights can be found on the light bar.
Shift light: Diesel Engines: Comes on when the engine is lugging. Telling you to shift to a lower gear.
Emmission Light: Comes on when the EEC detects problems with it's components. Also can be used as a self test code light, when the EEC's Self test output is triggered. Also comes on if the EEC reads 60,000 miles... (fords idea of reminding you, you need a tune up! :P )
