Question Nitrous Oxide for my ford

hi, i have a 1986 ford f 150 inline 6 2wd 2 barrel. i was looking at some nitro systems from NOS and was wondering if any of you guys tryed it on a ford that you own. Is it safe, and will it be worth the money. Im currently looking at buying a universal 2 bbl kit for v6 engines. please post.

ive heard around here that nos on a I6 is not as effective as a high reving motor, because the 6 only runs 3500max, you could only get about a 50hp shot.

I wouldn't run more than a 50 shot. That will add about 100 ft-lbs of torque on average across the 300's rpm range. That's asking a lot of the stock short block, especially if it has a lot of miles on it. For the money you would spend on a good nitrous kit you could probably add just as much power with bolt ons without jeopardizing your engine. A cam, intake and headers should add at least 50 hp on the top end without spitting pieces out the bottom end.
