Matt, Thanks for making me aware that a 6 bolt pattern wasn't used prior to 1996. I just purchase the truck last month. The previous owner had said it had custom drive shafts but nothing about the axles.

Ford 8 lug wheels, are 16x6, or 16x7, (8 lug on 6 1/2 center).
Ford 5 lug wheels, are 15x5, or 15x6, ( 5 lug on 5 1/2 center).
These are t he stock Ford OEM steel wheel size.
Originally posted by mattsbox99 You must have swapped the axles then. Ford Motor Company has never used a 6 bolt pattern. At least prior to 1996.
When did Ford have a 6 lug vehicle? I thought it was only introduced in 03 on the new Expeditions. They had a 7 lug trucks in 97 until 03, but I don't know of any 6 lug.
Ok for the last time in this thread, I hope. Ford Motor Company has NEVER used a 6 lug wheel, at least prior to 1996, I don't know what else they have used after 1996.
