What would happen if you changed out the throttle body to a dual 62mm (lightning) and the injectors out to a larger size. Would this improve performance or would it be a waiste without modding the heads? Of course you would have to change the exhaust. Speaking of the heads and injectors, can someone give me the specs on these. I got this idea from http://home.earthlink.net/~atomhart/galaxie.htm
I've never seen any cams off-the-shelf for a V10. If you want it done, it'll more-than-likely be all one-off custom stuff. Big $$$.
I do not know the valve size difference between the two engines. Maybe a good port and polish would be all you would need if the sizes are the similar.
Not alot of time just a little bored. I had a 69 Bronco that I used to piddle with but I sold it last year. I miss my baby!!
But hey, I now have a SUPERDUTY Just trying to turn it into my project truck.
You may want to add a supercharger to the equation. That's why the Lightning has those big throttle bodys and large injectors.A supercharger "tends" to make an engine breathe a fair amount of air and if you increase air you must also increase fuel.
Superchargers are great and I would love to have one but, I'm the type that likes to do things the long way. I like the little things, you know do a little here and there and reap the rewards.
You'll have to spend some time on the dyno with a custom tuner to get any benefit out of the larger TB & injectors. By the time it's all done, a weekend blower install would be of more benefit & probably not cost as much.
