i'm sure this seems fairly simple to most of you but i'm gonna ask anyway....the MAF sensor on my 97 f250 LD...4.6L.....is it buried by the plastic throttle body cover or is it that little sensor on the side of the air intake?? most pics i've seen show it as having a square "frame" with torx bolts...i'm not seeing that by just looking down at the engine....thought i'd ask before i take the covers off...

 

The MAF in your truck is inside the air filter housing,in the end that the hose going to the engine is. If you open up the housing, like if you were changing the filter, you can look in it and see the 2 fine MAF wires inside a little squarish box thing.
