You can use a single pattern but you will have a better performing engine with a dual pattern. Economy will improve also. Price would be the only reason not to buy the dual pattern but the way I see it, how often do you change a cam?
Autozone sells lifters for around $1.89 a peice. They are a good lifter.
Wouldn't that 941 cam be a bit much for a stock valve train....?
seems like a lot of lift for stock springs.....
I'm going to the try the comp cams 268....I have the cam but won't be installing it for a couple of months.... It might not be as agressive as I want ........we'll see
You'd need to get the recommended springs. Otherwise you are taking a big chance. I always recommend new springs with cams that are bigger than stock. The old springs could possibly work but you would have to get them pressure tested. You can find springs locks and retainers for around $100 max.
