1997 F250 HD Drivetrain problems
I have a 1997 F-250 HD extended-cab diesel 4X4 (auto trans) with 108,000 mile on it that I bought new. Most of these miles have been put on on the highway, with less than 5,000 towing a tralier hauling old tractors (10,00lbs max). Anyway, in the past two months I've had to put a new transmission in and am in the process of having the differential completely rebuilt (gears ground up). Has anyone else had problems with theirs? I thought this truck was supposed to be able to tow some weight, instead it seems to fall apart whenever it's asked to do a little work. Any advice?
