Due to the incredible popularity of my pictures of monsta's sis, oh wait, that's not right......... oh ,....here it is.......my compressor pictures, I have included my back up light pictures.
I just drilled them out with a hole saw and then put some chrome door bumper stuff on there. Right behind the holes is the bumper main member. I was able to drill a small hole in each side and mount the lights directly to the steel member. I wired it in such a way that they come on automatically when I shift into reverse and then I can flip two switches and they will come on when I want. Works soooooo perfectly for tailgaters. Not sure why but they get very scared and back off in a hurry usually accompanied by a short bark of the tires and some jerking of the steering wheel. Also work very well in setting up a campsite.
cbw where abouts are you in LA?
Ill be heading to vegas begining of next month, may meet up with Abendx, but come end of March, Ill be in West LA for a cpl weeks where I will defeninetly be hooking up with Abendx, perhaps you can join us.
Nice idea. I use to repo and I had a truck with a illusion kit in it flip a switch and the tail gate drops with a sling folding out. Instant tow truck. I had so much fun with tailgaters and that set up..
That's a GREAT light setup in the rear bumper! What are the chrome door guard thingy's??? Did you just buy a section of chrome door bumper guard strip and cut to fit? And the light is actually secured to the beam BEHIND the chrome bumper? but the chrome door guard strip is attached to the bumper? I may have to meet up with you the weekend of the 24th/25th of this month when I'm in L.A. fo rmy brother's birthday...so I can see it firsthand.
