Trailer light /running lights/ problem
I'm having issues with my trailer lights. I pull a few trailers with my 99 Expedition. The problem is I have no running lights. My brakes lights and blinkers work fine. All the lights on my truck work. Does anyone know if there are seperate fuses for this or could it just be a bad harness ? Thanks

Did you check all the connectors on the harness to see if theres power to the harness? If yes, and theres no power, I would check the wiring, then replace the harness. How many connectors your harness have?

I would check for power at the plug. If there is none, I would check up front. I know on some of the older trucks that had a towing package, they did have a seperate circuit with a relay that fed the trailer lights.

There is a fuse box under the hood that has relays and fuses for trailers. This is part of the towing package. Each light on the trailer has a fuse and a relay. I found my problem, Thanks for the help.

TO help clarify what RonSeg has pointed out is that Ford built the Super Duty with seperate fuses for the trailer and for the truck. The fuses for the trailer are under the hood. the fuses for the truck are under the dash. you can blow a trailer fuse and still have all of the truck lights. This is a feature I have used a few times towing trailers for other people that never try their lights untill it's time to go.
