Propane has the equivalent of 130 octane fuel rating. It's used a lot in fleet vehicle situations ... especially when they have their own pumping station. Can switch back & forth between gasoline & propane. There's a lot of room underneath the X for mounting the extra tanks, too. The problem is refueling ... it takes a fair amount of time to pressurize those propane tanks ... not as convenient or as quick as liquid fuel. I checked into the idea of adding propane back around 1982.
