Compatable starters?
I have to replace my starter on my truck...one of my friends has a starter i could put on and save a trip to the store. I have a 79 400 ci... do you know if a starter off a 460 ci would br compatable.....dont know the year of the 460...?

I am not sure. Got to autozone.com and look one up for both engines. The 460 will ask "with or without solenoid". Opt for without. See if you get the same part# for both. If so, then yes, they will interchange.
