Yep,that's going to be a 7.5".They would hold up to a V8 in *normal* driving conditions,but I think that if any of us here had a V8 in our Ranger's,we wouldn't be driving normally.....
Your best bet is to try to find a Traction-Loc 8.8" out of a 4.0L 4X4.They're not cheap though.

Not for sure.I think it's 59" or something like that.Ken??

i know one from an explorer is like 1 inch wider than the ones from a ranger or somthing like that, i think
